High School Seniors and College Freshman – check out our scholarship page for our newest essay scolarship contest. Honoring our co-founder Didi Foss, the theme for this contest is “My Right to Vote.”
The right to vote is one of the most important aspects that we have in our society as a whole. The right to vote has shown how the United States has progressed. The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote, a decision that many people were hesitant about at the moment, but know woman not only have the ability to vote, but they have an opportunity to become president of the United States. The 15th amendment also depict why voting is important because different of skin power can have an opportunity to have a say in how they want the nation to be run. I also feel that our voting system is executing perfectly. You look at a nations like Venezuela which had a lot of disconnect between the people and the elected leader because people felt that the voting system was corrupted. Voting will continue to be an aspect in our life where people can give their choice on how they want a nation to be like.
